Sierra West Co. (“Sierra West,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website sierrawestco.com. We are a fireplace, chimney, and masonry contractor serving Sonoma County and the surrounding North Bay, and we have held California contractor license #542298 since 1982.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it under California law.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a contact or estimate request form on this site, we collect the information you enter. That typically includes your name, email address, phone number, the address or general location of the property, and whatever you tell us about the work you need done.
We collect this so we can respond to you, schedule an estimate, and carry out the work you ask us to do. We do not sell this information.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site collects some technical information automatically when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the site or search that referred you.

How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal, tax, warranty, and licensing obligations. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set in Google Analytics.

How to exercise your rights
Email us at info@sierrawestco.com or call (415) 990-3657, and tell us which right you want to exercise. We will need to verify your identity before we act, which usually means confirming details you have already given us, such as the email address or phone number associated with your enquiry.
You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof that you gave them permission.
We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and how much longer we need, up to a further 45 days.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including serving this site over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the site.
